Celebrating an incredible Silver Sunday 2018

Silver Sunday 2018 saw around 1,000 events happening across the country, reaching more people than ever before.

To get a glimpse of the many wonderful and varied events on offer this year you can watch the BBC London News coverage of our English National Ballet ‘Dance for Health’ workshop, the London Live coverage of the Paddington Partnership’s leisurely Boat Trips on the Grand Union Canal, The Let’s Be Foundation’s phenomenal “Great Elderly Tea Party” in Lancashire, Alhurra’s coverage of the Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Garden Party, a “Walking Football Tournament” with the Chelsea FC Foundation and a special guest appearance from performer Will Young at The Science Museum.

You can also watch Silver Sunday founder and Sir Simon Milton Foundation trustee Christabel Flight’s TV interview on Sky News Sunrise, reminding everyone why Silver Sunday is so important in changing the story around loneliness in older people in the UK and encouraging everyone to get involved.

Please join us again next year for Silver Sunday on 6th October 2019.
